Job Description

Do you have experience within the Property industryHave you worked as a Property Services & Asset Manage previouslyIf so read on, Adecco are proud to be working with a well established Company who are seeking a Property Services & Asset Manager to join their expanding team based in Borehamwood on a Permanent basis.Job Title Property Services & Asset Manager (Permanent Position)Salary: £53,458 - £70,403 (depending on experience)Location: BorehamwoodWorking days: 40 hours a weekBenefits: 25 - 30 days annual leave, plus one floating day per annum, local government pension scheme, flexible working hours (including home working), free car parking, free use of leisure facilities, cycle scheme, season ticket loans andaccess to a large staff roof garden.Duties:

  • The post is a senior management position, providing strategic direction and operational management for the Councils asset portfolio including Civic Buildings, Leisure Buildings, Shops, Depots, Bushey Museum, Community Buildings, Elstree Film and TelevisionStudios and Garage sites.
  • To identify potential investment opportunities and capital projects and to develop and implement the councils development programme and major building/maintenance programme.
  • To carry out the project management of schemes and developments.
  • The post holder will be accountable to the Head of Engineering Services and Asset Management, the Managing Director and Members, for the efficient and effective delivery of services to customers, for the quality management and cost effectiveness of thoseservices and for securing continuous service improvement.
  • To manage the effective and efficient management of Valuations and Estates management including the acquisition and disposal assets, valuation of council property and co-ordinating/managing the councils property portfolio.
  • The post-holder will take the lead in developing and getting approval for policies relating to asset management.
  • To deputise for the Head of Engineering Services & Asset Management in their absence.
Skills
  • Membership of the RCIS and a relevant professional qualification ie. Chartered Architect, Chartered Landscape Architect, Chartered Building Surveyor or Chartered Quantity Surveyor.
  • A significant level of practical management experience
  • A significant level of professional experience in surveying and property management.
  • Financial awareness and experience of budgetary management
  • Ability to manage the performance of individual staff members and teams for continuous service improvement.
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements and ability to ensure that these are complied with in the group.
  • Ability to implement equal opportunities in employment and service delivery.
  • Knowledge of planning policies for Hertfordshire.
