Job Description

Title: Part Time Finance OfficerSalary: £32,000 pro rata (£19,000 per anum)Location: Borehamwood (working from home initially)Hours: 3 full days a week ( Permanent)Our Client is a well-established Global service provider keen to employ an Management Accountant to support the business with all accounting functions including Invoicing, book keeping, journals and month end. The successful candidate will have lengthly experience and have proven ability to work a completely independant role and thrive taking ownership of their work.Experience using Xerox system is highly beneficialOur client, although a global function of over 25 years has a small initimate head office function. They have a fantastic culture, its well organised, structured with a warm family feel. This employer really look after their staff.Duties:

  • Accounting and book-keeping
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of monthly financial projections
  • Preparation of monthly cash-flow reports
  • Preparation and completion of year-end accounts
  • Book-keeping - sales and inter-company invoices, debt control activities, expenses and credit card reconciliation, bank control activities across a number of accounts and currencies,making bank payments when necessary
  • posting of sales and purchase ledgers, and purchase orderreconciliation• VAT and international sales taxo Prepare and submit quarterly UK VAT returnso Prepare and submit quarterly UK VAT EC sales returnsFinancial reporting and analysisSupport the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors across all activities as needed.• Support the preparation of sales and sales leads information• Preparation of consolidated accounts, update of cash flow, profit loss projections• Monthly project profitability reports
  • Attributes:
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Highly organised
  • Methodical and process orientated
  • A highly proficient user of Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
