Job Description

Are you passionate about helping people with DyslexiaAre you the type of person who loves taking on new opportunities and challengesA young woman in Further Education requires input from a HLTA with specific skills in Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia and Dysgraphia) to work individually with her. She is a very bright person and wants to be either a Forensic Science Specialistor a Set Designer. She worries about her weaker skills and would need a gentle approach and targeted intervention for the HLTAs work to succeedAs a Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will have a clear understanding of the needs a young peron with Learning Difficulites have, a passion for SEND, and a desire to have a positive and lasting impact on the young people you support.Role Details:

  • Further Education School
  • Elstree
  • 15 hours per week
  • Flexible working arrangements can be discussed
  • £120 per day pro rata
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous experience of working in a school setting providing support to young people with SEN.
  • A number of strategies to use with a people with SEN.
  • Great communication skills.
  • An ability to adapt and think on their feet.
  • Some training or qualifications in SEN, Teaching Assistant or Autism etc.
