We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team and assist with the smooth running of our production facility in Bonnyrigg.The role and responsibilities:The role will be reporting to the General Manager, being responsible for managing a team of engineers supporting project delivery, routine maintenance, and proactive maintenance activities across the entire production facility. This role fits within the Bonnyriggmanagement team and will work collaboratively with our Production and Operation teams. You will be:* Planning and organising all planned preventative maintenance activities, in conjunction with* the General Manager;* Reviewing systems for monitoring the plant and its equipment, to ensure faults are identified* quickly, production downtime is minimised, and product quality is consistently maintained;* Ensuring that the engineering team delivers within the highest standard for Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality, and all time in accordance with Johnsons Hotel Linen`s policies.* Managing the corresponding costs of the engineering function against budget and reporting to ensure that works are delivered as effectively as possible;* Undertaking daily, weekly and monthly checks for compliance and audit purposes;* Day to day management of the Engineering team* Ensure that all compliance checks are completed on timeWhat we need from you:* Proven experience working in a similar management role, within a fast-paced* production environment;* A minimum of HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or related subject);* A good understanding of costs, quantities, timescales and contract terms for any work undertaken;* Proven ability to communicate at all levels;* To be proactive and self-motivated;* To have a flexible approach to working hoursWhy choose us:In addition to a competitive salary, were proud to offer a great employee benefits package that rewards hard work and supports mental health and wellbeing.* Recruitment referral scheme* 1X salary life assurance * Employee Assistance Programme* 24/7 GP Helpline Service* Health4All Scheme* SAYE scheme* Discounted Gym membership* Pension Scheme
