Domestic Abuse Support Worker - Womens Aid East and MidlothianHours: 35 hours a week full timeSalary: £23,947-£26,236 per annumLocation: East Lothian and MidlothianHolidays: 6 weeks entitlement annual leave, rising to 8 weeks annual leave after one year of employment (pro rata)Pension: 5% employer contribution to a personal pension plan on completion of 3 months employment.Full Time Posts: Fixed term contracts until September 2023.The Social Care Community Partnership are currently recruiting for 2 full time Domestic Abuse Support Workers for Womens Aid East and Midlothian.WAEML provides information, support and accommodation to women (including trans-women), children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse. As a Domestic Abuse Support Worker your main aim is to work with women and partner agencies to reduce risksfaced by women and children, and advocate on their behalf.As a Support Worker, travel across East Lothian and Midlothian is required therefore a driving licence and access to a car is essential.WAEML positively welcomes applicants from within all sections of the community although are exempt under Schedule 9 (Part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 and therefore only women need apply.Key responsibilities:
