Pertemps are recruiting for Customer Care Assistants to work with a Public Sector organisation based in Midlothian. In this role you will act as first point of contact for service users and will be responsible for ensuring the scheduling system is managedappropriately. This is an office based role initially but offers hybrid working after the training period. Applicants should have excellent IT skills as well as the ability to work well under pressure.Pay: £11.08 per hourHours: 07:00-13:00 and 16:00-22:00 7 days per weekLocation: Bonnyrigg Midlothian, EH19Assignment: temporary role for 3 months (possibility of extension)Responsibilities- Operate and maintain electronic systems and Home Care computer booking system, including recording service user and staff information, Home Carer rotas and availability. Ensure that staff cover is in place for holidays, sickness and other planned and unplannedabsence. Adjust service bookings and staff allocation in the event of client absence or other change in circumstances.- Receive new referrals and requests from the Access Team for Community Care services for clients and pass to supervisors for assessment and staff allocation; inform Administration Section of new client referrals.- Liaise with supervisors to resolve conflicting client demands, Home Care staff workloads and selection of work priorities.- Act as first point of contact for clients, families and other agencies seeking variations in service. Make straightforward adjustments via scheduling systems and refer more complex cases to supervisors, as necessary.- Communicate with service users and their families/carers, Social Work staff and other agencies regarding changes in client circumstances and service delivery.- Act as first point of contact for service user calls about service quality or efficiency; resolve straightforward complaints and pass more complex cases and compliments to the appropriate member of staff.- Recommend small scale changes to scheduling system to improve operations and service delivery.Experience Required- IT skills- Good verbal and written communication.- Ability to work under pressure- Please note an Enhanced PVG is required for this role-This role is for immediate start.
