Tradewind are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 teacher to lead a wonderful Year 2 class in a school based in Bolton!On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are excited to recruit for a vibrant school based in Little Hulton and support them in appointing a Year 2 teacher for a maternity cover starting in February. The role includes full class responsibilities and will pay to scale (up to £210 per day) to reflect your skills, experience and career stage.About the SchoolThis Academy provides a calm, caring and inclusive place where all children are encouraged to aim high and develop to the best of their ability. The school has also been awarded the Communication Friendly and EmotionallyFriendly status and is working towards the accreditation of the Unicef Rights Respecting School award.Year 2 Teacher - About the RoleThe successful teacher will be responsible for an average sized Year 2 class. The class comprises of mixed abilities and has a small percent of SEND children with some on EHCPs. The class has a full-time teaching assistant who has established relationshipswith the children and is very competent in their role supporting children on a 1:1 basis as well as supporting with interventions.The school are looking for a teacher who:-Has strong subject knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and a solid understanding of age-related expectations-A dedicated teacher who is organised and will plan engaging, purposeful lessons linked to real life learning-A teacher who is confident in the teaching and delivery of phonics. Read Write Inc experience is desirable but not essential.-Someone who can use formative and summative assessment techniques to evaluate learning and plan for next steps-Has the ability to build a strong, trusting rapport with the class and can use behaviour management strategies well to minimise disruption-A committed teacher who will involve themselves in all aspects of school life.Essential RequirementsTo be considered for this position, you must hold QTS and be able to demonstrate your experience in KS1.
