Job Description

Our client based in Bolton are looking to hire a new Web Developer to join their growing team. If you are a Web Developer and want to join a successful company who are recruiting due to growth then this could be the role for you.This role could suit a junior, experienced or senior web developer. Our client is open to the possibility of taking on a junior candidate looking to build their knowledge or a senior web developer who is ready to hit the ground running.Responsibilities (will vary based on level of experience):

  • Meeting with clients - understanding their requirements and specifications
  • Designing and building websites (front-end)
  • Creating website architecture
  • Updating and writing reports
  • WordPress
  • Debugging websites and ensuring software documentation is updated
  • Conducting research and keeping up to date with general marketing trends
  • Liaising with designers to decide on UI/UX elements
  • Apply brand identity to pre-existing designs, templates and themes
  • Create wireframes to decide on layout
  • Identify user and system requirements for new websites and applications
  • Run functionality testings and debug code
  • Supporting existing clients
  • Conducting website performance tests
  • Server integrations
  • Using Google Analytics - setting up tracking and goals
Requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field
  • Previous experience of web development - minimum of 3/5 years for senior position
  • Experience of PHP programming, MySQL, HTML(5), CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience of developing bespoke WordPress websites
  • Understanding of security practices
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Research abilities
  • Willingness to work hard to get the job done
  • Familiarity with network diagnostic tools
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools
  • Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics
  • PLESK or similar server experience
  • Version control experience (Git)
Hours and Salary:
  • The hours of this role are Monday - Friday, office based
  • Flexible between 8.00am start and 6.30pm finish (earlier start = earlier finish)
  • Must to 40 - 42.50 hours per week within the hours above
  • Salary dependent on level of experience and role offered
  • £24K - £50K (negotiable for the right candidate)
