Student Data Manager£38,000-£40,000 per annumPermanent, Full-timeBoltonAdecco Bolton has the pleasure of recruiting for a Student Data Manager on behalf of our client based in Bolton on a permanent, full-time basis within the Higher Education sector.About the roleThe main purpose of this role is to effectively and skilfully manage the Student Data Management team.Role and responsibilities

  • Contribute to the overall development and robustness of the Institutional processes for student data collection which underpin of the student lifecycle and enhancement of the Institution
  • Provide reliable, accurate and consistent student data to all end users, including the senior management team and external bodies
  • Provide efficient and effective student data processes that are appropriate to underpin and enhance the student life cycle and experience
  • Work effectively to provide help and assistance with any third parties including the internal audit provider.
  • Prepare and deliver the annual SDM local plan to ensure effective delivery of SDM functions
  • Understand the strategic and operational aspects of the requirements of Office for Students (OfS), HESA, ESFA and other external agencies and the strategic and operational aspects of SITS
  • Manage the work of SDM and provide assurance that effective and robust processes are in place and followed
  • Appropriately and responsibly line manage staff in SDM and plan, by way of prioritisation, SDMs work
  • Develop and maintain relationships with software suppliers such as Tribal, acting as university contact where required to raise support tickets, keeping up to date on future software developments
  • Play a key role in planning for and reacting to changes in the data landscape (e.g. the introduction of HESA Data Futures)
The person
  • Experience within a Student Data Manager role or similar previously
  • Experience and knowledge of systems: Tribal, SITS - ESSENTIAL
  • Experience and knowledge of HESA and HESES - ESSENTIAL
  • Experience contributing to planning processes in H.E
  • Ability to line manage a small team within SDM
