Job Description - Sourcing ExecutiveStarting Salary: £25,654 - £31,533This job is for the role of Sourcing Executive for the Clinical Trials Division of a global medical equipment supplier. This role is an exciting opportunity and will involve sourcing a variety of products and suppliers from around the world to aid in theexpansion of our global presence.The holder of this post will develop and carry out efficient procurement processes to obtain best value for money in the procurement of all goods and services in support of the achievement of the Divisions targets and corporate goals.You will work closely with the Procurement Manager to shape current projects and future development. This includes investigating and evaluating new opportunities and partnerships to improving efficiencies, reduce costs, provide analytics for strategic planningand opportunity prioritisation.Key Responsibilities Source and negotiate core products through effective analytical, negotiation and interpersonal skills with manufacturer/suppliers across multiple countries Quickly establish pricing of new products to speed up the quotation to customers, while ensuring due diligence and appropriate vendor assessment Proactive in finding alternative manufacturer/suppliers, tracking savings / rationale Provide value analysis assessments and present comprehensive recommendation to management of potential cost savings Identify, solicit, facilitate, and secure manufacturers/suppliers domestically and globally across a wide range of categories to meet or exceed all supply chain initiatives: cost reductions, payment terms, ethics, integrity, and reliability for long- termbenefit Responsible for maintaining additions, renewals, deletions, updates, and price changes within systems Monitor KPIs for manufacturer/suppliers Communicate and educate on new manufacturer/suppliers, initiatives, and opportunities within the procurement team Ensure internal stakeholders are appropriately updated with key information Provide recommendations for substitute products related to recalls, alerts and FDA bulletins. Meet weekly with management and team members to review workload status, projects, improvements of workflow (through positive recommendations and constructive feedback for striving for excellence), provide coaching and mentoring within team as well as department. MS Excel user with an ability to review categories as a whole and in detail by manufacturer/supplier, category, and subcategories. Other duties and/or projects as assigned.Key Skills Highly organised, ability to multitask, good time management skills for aggressive deadlines. Ability to adjust workload efforts based on new priorities assigned. Excellent communication skills, oral and written Able to present relevant written and verbal information in a concise format Able to converse with all levels of staff from within the organisation Strong diplomatic skills, able to persuade, negotiate and influence key organisations Good interpersonal skills Excellent IT skills, experience with software systems to produce self-generated informationThe PersonYou will have a proven track record in a similar role, be computer literate and be commercially orientated. It is essential that you have the capacity to work with colleagues at all levels, can work as part of a team, and the ability to work on own initiativewhilst maintaining team approach. The successful candidate must have exemplary personal standards of conduct, and the ability to work under pressure.You need to be analytically focused with the skills to understand, present and use data to plan and develop strategic approaches to procurement and supplier relationship management.We are looking for people who bring a positive/can do attitude with a high level of energy and a passion for procurement in the healthcare industry motivated and are dedicated team players.
