Join our team at Tradewind!Are you a driverAre you empathetic, caring and hard workingDo you have some experience supporting children or young adults with additional needsThis is a vacancy for a SEN Pupil Escort / SEN Teaching Assistant for a special needs college in the Bolton area starting in September on a full time & long term basis. Must be a driver who is willing to transport a pupil.The Pupil Escort & SEN TA role involves picking up a student at 7:30am from the centre of Bolton and dropping them back to the same place at the end of the day at 4:40pm and working as a SEN TA at the college site during the day.Pay up to £115/day (8.5 hours/day).To join us and be successful in this Bolton based SEN Pupil Escort / Support Worker role, you will need to:

  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Professional references checks.
  • Provide a CV with a full education & work history.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Have experience delivering personal care support to young adults.
About the roleYou will be supporting students aged 19-25 with with Complex Needs, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) or Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). Students have a range of physical, communication, sensory & emotional needs. Many need the supportof wheelchairs or hoists to move around so training or experience with Moving & Handling or Personal Care tasks is beneficial. You will need to work collaboratively with the other Support Worker & Teaching Assistant staff as well as the class teachers andoutside professionals. As well as providing care support you will need to assist in the smooth delivery of learning which is based around the Engagement Model.About the school:
