Production SupervisorDue to huge investment and ongoing expansion and an opportunity has arisen for a proven hands-on Production Leader to join an established manufacturer who are experiencing incredible growth. Based out of their Head Office the ideal Production Manager will leada production team to effectively increase production volumes by 40% to 60%. If youre naturally motivated, well organised, have REAL communication skills and a background in managing production, this could be the perfect career opportunity for you. Production Supervisor responsibilities: * Visibly be seen to champion production on site and support continuous improvement. * Manage all production resource to ensure efficient production activities; whilst maintaining all Health, Safety and Environmental compliance requirements and meeting product and process quality specifications * Support the site to ensure all products produced are right first time in line with customer expectations. * To ensure that all routine production tasks and objectives are undertaken and completed within agreed time frames. * Plan and organise work flows. * Oversee and manage production team labour budget. * Accountable for equipment effectiveness, root cause problem solving, rapid improvement events. * Ensure any non-conforming products are rectified in a timely and efficient way. * Maintain high levels of house keeping at all time within the shop floor. * Carry out performance reviews for Shift Managers and foster a positive team spirit within the production unit and cross functionally * Recruit, train, coach and develop a multi skilled production team to fabricate uPVC products. * Maintain all KPI departmental information and endorse best practice principles in the workplace to achieve output targets. The working week is 7.30am to 4.30pm Production Supervisor profile: As the Production Supervisor you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: * A successful career as a Production Manager within a high volume production environment. * Excellent knowledge of lean Six Sigma practices. * Effective leadership of medium teams. * Thorough knowledge of IT systems with sound skills in Excel & Word & PowerPoint packages. * Ideally already trained to IOSH Managing Safely - Previous experience of carrying out risk assessments in the workplace and documenting safe working procedures. * Maintain ISO accreditation. * Experience in change management and working in a lean manufacturing environment. * HNC/HND or above in an Engineering discipline What is in it for youUp to £28,500 to £34,000 basic salary DOE + Annual Bonus + Benefits Great benefits, Great company culture If you feel you have what it takes to support this already successful brand through an exciting phase of growth, please do not hesitate to send over your CV.Required skills
