Job Description

Tradewind are currently recruiting an outstanding Year 2 Teacher for an Ofsted rated Good school in a diverse area of Bolton. This role is a full-time, maternity cover which will commence in January 2023 and will run for a full calendar year. This is avery large school so there is potential of a permanent opportunity available once the maternity role has finished.This is a 3 form entry school which is situated in a diverse area in Bolton. Although the school is large, they are constantly oversubscribed. The school provide the best opportunities for students to achieve their potential and develop into independent learnersirrespective of their backgrounds. The school have high expectations of children and are in the top 25% of schools in the UK for end of KS2 assessments due to this.As one of the schools Year 2 Teachers, you will be responsible for a mixed ability class of 30 children and you will have a full time Teaching Assistant present in class. With the Year 2 cohort expected to achieve strong results, you will have relevant experiencein Key Stage 1 assessments and the drive and determination to ensure that your class have a successful SATS year.Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Undertaking full teaching responsibility for a Year 2 class in line with the development and progress associated with Key Stage 1 and more importantly the upcoming Year 2 SATS.
  • Creating a stimulating environment within your classroom where children are engaged and enjoy learning.
  • Inspiring childrens confidence and being involved in their emotional well being
  • Assessing, recording and reporting on the childrens development to ensure that every child make the right progress.This school is a vibrant and warm setting which offers the best possible education to every child.
