Job Description

Role: - Pharmacovigilance SpecialistLocation: - Greater Manchester (remote locations considered)Salary: - CompetitiveReporting: - QPPVA fantastic opportunity has risen for a Pharmacovigilance Specialist to join a small Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information team at our clients continually growing Pharmaceutical company. If you are looking for the next step in your career and want to gain exposure to many different areas of post-marketing pharmacovigilance, then please apply within. At least some experience within pharmacovigilance or drug safety role is a MUST. The candidate will be expected to develop within the role across all areas of pharmacovigilance. Remote working would be considered for this role.Responsibilities

  • Data management of SAE/AE reports (including all steps; with MedDRA coding, narrative writing & reporting) from post marketing sources onto the global safety database in accordance with the company SOPs and regulatory requirements
  • Literature search & review
  • Eudravigilance MLM download & management
  • Some medical information queries
  • Signal detection, risk management and PSUR, as appropriate to experience & subsequent development within the client company
  • Support PSMF management
  • Contributing to the enhancement of pharmacovigilance process and SOPs.
  • The Person
  • BSc Life Sciences graduate
  • 2 years experience minimum in pharmacovigilance/drug safety
  • Competent with medical terminology
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Can work efficiently on their own, but also as part of a team
  • Has worked to the requirements of GVP Module VI
  • Experience of narrative writing to a good standard
  • Enthusiastic, positive "can do" attitude and eager to learn
