Job Description

Salary: Competitive Salary & Benefits Grade: 2AReporting Line: People Systems and Data & Insights Manager Contact Type: Fixed Term Contract 12 Months Location: BoltonWhat to expect Here at the Post Office, we’re steeped in tradition, but we’re going places.As People Data Insights Analyst, you will join us on our journey and undertake a truly valuable role responsible for producing all People related Management Information and Insight across the People Division to all stakeholders. The successful candidatewill use a reporting suite in place, in Power BI and SuccessFactors, ServiceNow People module and the Engagement Survey tool as well as any new tools that are developed to manage People data and identify opportunities for improvement, trends and insights.This will include but not limited to defined People indicators, such as company headcount, turnover and absence rates, and dashboards for management use. This reporting will include the provision of daily, weekly, and monthly management information which willpresented to senior management groups. The People Data and Insights Analyst will ensure that the provision of People related management information and related procedures adhere to processes, policies and guidelines.Responsible for the production of data and responding to requests for People related management information and reporting on People trends and insights across the People Division. Development of new dashboards in the People module of ServiceNow includingthe Engagement Survey tool and ensuring accurate data, analytics, and insight. You will work closely with internal colleagues and 3rd party vendors and partner with project teams to ensure further enhancements to exciting reports or dashboards meet stakeholderrequirements. Ensure compliance with any specific legislative, regulatory or contractual requirements are me and support with the creation of training materials in order for customers to be able to self-serve once dashboards are created.What we can do for youOur people are the driving force behind our business, we are proud of the energy, commitment and customer focus we have in common.   • Demonstrate data analysis skills, including advanced Excel skills including formula and applying knowledge to business use cases, eg: identifying opportunities to make manual processes more efficient and upskilling non-technical users on quick tips andtricks to use Excel more effectively in their day jobs.
  • Demonstrable data visualization skills, using Power BI and confident using both DAX and M to build efficient models and to produce clear and visually appealing dashboards for consumption by non-technical business users.
  • Experience of dashboards in either Tableau or and ServiceNow is strongly desired.
  • Experience of, or willingness to learn, to use AWS is desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience in data management of an HR Enterprise system and or connected systems.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation to both technical and business audiences.
  • Excellent documentation and written communication skills (report writing, PowerPoint presentations) and the ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
  • Good relationship skills with both internal and external colleagues and demonstrate a can-do attitude.
