Job Description

Our client is a leading SME, pureplay ecommerce business with ambitious plans to significantly upscale their business across both existing and new international territories. Pivotal to these plans is the appointment of a Marketing Director.Reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer the newly appointed Marketing Director will bring with them a proven track record of executing an international multi-channel high revenue ecommerce growth strategy.They will operate in a hands-on role having overall responsibility for leading, developing and expanding a small marketing team through KPI’s, performance metrics and measuring closely the ROI of the marketing spend. A key part of the role will be utilising data and developing strategies to increase revenue spend, create customer loyalty, increase brand awareness, whilst targeting new global territories.Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing and executing a combined B2C / B2B ecommerce multichannel digital strategy which will drive high net revenue growth plan within the UK and international landscape.
  • Consistently analyse the online data to support the revenue growth and ensure that the business achieves and remains the market leading brand in all the chosen territories.
  • Track the marketing strategy, data, metrics and KPI’s to ensure that the strategies are working. Able to react to the data analysis and amend the strategy as required to drive success.
  • Plan for seasonal trends and campaigns in advance by choosing the correct products to discount in line with the seasons and margin capability. Able to make discount decisions versus improved traffic and sales revenue.
  • Manage and lead the creation of their online brand message, content, and the online customer journey to improve traffic, increase the customer loyalty and increase online revenue.
  • Manage a weekly, monthly, and yearly marketing budget which is scaled dependant on requirements, measure the ROI, CPA, and change accordingly.
  • Be technically skilled ideally with experience of Google trends, excel, Google analytics, Instagram, YouTube, Sage 200, Facebook, SEO and PPC.
