As a member of the industrial engineering team, you will be responsible for overall system design productivity for both new and current machinery. They are an established market leader in the Automotive world, and are looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer to the ranks tohelp further boost their growth.DescriptionAs Manufacturing Engineer your key responsibilities will be:Model overall solution design productivity including cost calculations.Strive to eliminate waste.Work place ergonomics to ensure compliance with H&S legislation and company procedures.Provides process engineering support to maintain and continuously improve all aspects of the manufacturing operation. Includes: New product development, process/equipment reliability and performance (OEE), cost and productivity.Operate design release, version control, BoM requirements at ISO9001 standardIdentify strategic improvement of production equipment.Help to solve manufacturing problems and quality issuesCreation of CNC programs & design of production fixturesProfileThe Successful Manufacturing Engineer will possess the following:HNC/HND/Degree qualified in an engineering discipline or equivalentExperience of turning, milling and welding processesDesign, Commissioning and proving of associated toolingA comprehensive understanding of Engineering Drawing Practice with the ability to recognise datum structures and interpret GD&T.Good knowledge of world class manufacturing techniques (Lean Six Sigma) and will engineer processes with value added activity and waste reduction in mindExperience of SMED & zero point tooling systemsCAD/CAM & CNC programming experience for turning/milling processesBe a great written and oral communicator, and a skilled presenterKnowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and other software as requiredBe proactive & practised at planning & organising with accountability for resultsJob OfferSalary: £40,000 - £50,000 dependant upon experience
