Job Description

Murray McIntosh are searching for a Project Manager to work for a client of ours as detailed below:You will be working for an exciting dynamic business who carry out turnkey projects for clients around the UK.Need to know:

  • Ideally have a minimum of HND in Mechanical Engineering
  • Hold either Construction, QS, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualifications
  • Holder of SMSTS certificate
  • Experience of site supervision and general project management
  • How to manage multiple Projects within a finite resource
  • How to performance manage staff including development reviews to ensure team effectiveness is maximised
  • Knowledge of industry technological developments
  • IOSH Managing Safely (Construction) Certificate and/or CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme
  • Professional Membership within a building / construction related Professional Body
  • Have strong experience of delivering highly complex HVAC installations, and worked at a senior level
Responsibilities:
  • Managing multiple projects and sites to ensure on time delivery
  • Liaise with Sales, Technical, Business Development and Customer where delivery is under threat taking the most appropriate action
  • Ensure adequate site visits are carried out prior to commencement and during a project to plan work to be done and evaluating site access and potential problems
  • Liaise with Sales and Technical staff during the front end of the project and throughout to minimise risk and potential installation issues
  • Liaise with clients and client representatives (including but not limited to main contractors, architects, surveyors and planners) as required
  • Ensure site drawings and installation test plans are suitable
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and write Safe Methods of Working statements ensuring that these are carried out properly
  • Be involved with Sales and Ops planning process to plan future and current workloads
Any previous experience working on projects in the medical industry would be a big advantage.
