Job Description

The purpose of this role is to become paperless in the future which requires the development of a cutting-edge digital working environment to provide a high-quality seamless service delivered by a team of IT professionals.Working as part of a team, you will work in two functional areas. You will support IT projects to help improve the companys IT services and form a critical part of our continuous improvement focus, this will often require working closely with our IT infrastructureexperts. You will also work on the service desk which is in constant need for improvement to support new IT responsibilities to deliver the most efficient service possible.You will have excellent written and spoken communications skills and able to liaise professionally, face to face, over the phone and email.Able to plan and prioritise your own workload and use your own initiative and work as part of a team whilst also supporting a virtual environment.Candidate must be capable of lifting computer/network and equipment and able to install desktop/server and network equipment and hold a full driving licence and be flexible to travel to other sites.Basic salary £27,000 to £33,000 depending on experience, plus annual bonus, non-contributory pension and exceptional benefits package, and career development.Any of the following skills would an advantage, but not essential

  • Excellent knowledge of supporting MS Windows 2012/2016 File server environment including Active Directory
  • Excellent knowledge of supporting a Windows desktop operating systems
  • Experience in technical support with some project management experience
  • Microsoft Active Directory, Windows server, Windows desktop operating systems
  • Office 365 administration
  • Desktop system build and deployment
  • Liaising with 3rd party IT support companies
  • Support a Windows environment with excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Experience of working in an ITIL environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Services
  • Microsoft technology qualifications such as MCP, MCSE
  • Networking
  • ITIL Foundation Level qualification
  • Delivery of training / documentation to end-users
  • Experience of supporting a multi-site environment
  • Working in an ITIL environment
  • Window Server system build and deployment
  • GPO, DNS, DHCP "hands on" experience
  • Windows 2016 Server system build
  • VMware administration
  • Firewall administration, VPN, network switch configuration and support
  • Experience of supporting a VOIP system
