Job Description

Resource Solutions are looking for a IT Project Manager to work for us as part of our newly implemented Workforce Consultancy model. How the model works is- we would hire you permanently as then would manage everything in terms of your HR, training and salaryneeds and then the client would then manage your day to day work activities. Role will be based in Bolton 1 day a week and then the rest working from home.The first assignment will be to work for a leading insurance company, where they are looking for a Project Manager who is experienced within IT Projects, someone who is a core project manager who can deliver a project, manage stakeholders etc. also lookingfor someone who has experience within software projects and if you have Azure this would be advantageous as well.if you are available, please click on the link to apply and Resource Solutions will be in touch.Job Specification: BackgroundOur IT Delivery team is accountable for the efficient and effective delivery of projects across our whole business. We establish strong business partnerships which help us execute projects in line with their short, medium and longer term plans.About the roleIn this role you will be using your project management experience and excellent leadership skills to motivate and drive teams to develop and implement successful IT Change projects for our Commercial Insurance business.As an enthusiastic and keen project manager, your ability to manage complex relationships with multiple stakeholders during all aspects of the project, as well as maintaining strong project controls. Our projects are delivered in a dynamic, agile environmentusing Microsoft technologies.Your highly developed interpersonal skills and natural collaborative style will mean that you will be comfortable working with a wide range of specialist expertise, including Business Analysis, Software Engineering, Quality Assurance, Architecture, Infrastructure,Strategy, Programme Management Office and Governance teams.The role can be based at any AXA site and hybrid working is currently in place.What will you need

  • At least 5 years experience of Project Management involving software development, with a proven track record of successful delivery. Financial services experiences is a bonus.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience of successfully managing third parties within the context of project delivery.
  • Experience of budget management.
  • Experience of influencing senior stakeholders and managing without direct authority.
  • Proficiency in agile principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through implementation.
  • Accredited at Project Management discipline (practitioner level) (e.g. DSDM Atern, APMP, Prince2 practitioner, MSP, ISEB)
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience and/or relevant IT qualification - preferred.
