This role will lead our HR Shared Services team and ensure we deliver a professional and high performing service whilst driving efficient practice.It is crucial that we provide excellent customer service by working closely with colleagues and supplying solutions and processes to meet their needs. This will be achieved by identifying, designing and implementing specific HR operations and strategies to support our growing business.With a focus on continuous improvement, you will take responsibility for the high quality of work-force planning, absence management, employee relations, payroll etc. You will set and monitor budgets and KPIs to provide a measurable return on investment and service levels.Who we are looking forThe ideal candidate will be HR qualified at minimum Level 7 and have relevant experience in a shared service leadership role. You will be able to demonstrate experience of developing, leading and delivering HR projects and continuously improving performance and service.You will be an experienced leader that will have no problem managing a remote HR support centre across all business areas. The ultimate responsibility of the role will be to ensure the HR team operates efficiently and aligns with our business objectives.We need someone who will bring external best practice knowledge and motivate our HR team to work at a pace and deliver excellent customer service across the whole Group.Essential Criteria

  • Implementing functional HRMS and internal databases across all HR activity
  • Overseeing payroll function
  • Experience of managing a remote support centre across all business areas to meet customer needs so experience of specific business needs across education and care would be an advantage
  • Proven track record of continuously improving performance and standards delivering customer service improvements
  • Used to working with ROI measurement and outcomes analysis
  • A member of the HR senior team and able to deputise for the HR Director as required
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies
  • Ultimately ensure the HR function operates efficiently and aligns with our business objectives
  • Experience of our HRIS (cascade) would be advantageous
  • Has experience of reviewing and updating employment contracts and agreements, budget management, track key HR metrics and taking appropriate action to affect change
  • Measure the effectiveness of our benefits’ programmes and recommend improvements

  • Experience in a similar sector (Education, Care or Fostering) is desirable
