Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a large European business based in Bolton who are looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join finance reporting team. The business is well established in its field and the role offers someone the chance to gain some goodreporting experience on a European basis, alongside managing a small finance team and providing accurate reporting to the Board.Duties will include:

  • Fully responsible for the month end management accounts and submissions to Group, including P&L review and balance sheet recs
  • Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Complete all intercompany reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Complete expenses review, ensuring compliance across the business
  • Produce the statutory accounts and manage internal and external audit relationships
  • Preparation of VAT returns, Intrastat, EC sales list
  • Management of daily banking and group cash position
  • Influence internal financial controls and recommend improvement where necessary
The role would suit a candidate who has gained some solid experience in Financial reporting alongside an understanding international reporting standards, and is fully qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA). You will be wanting to join a large international business whereyou can manage a small transactional team and lead the reporting of the financials into European parent. The role is also ideal for a 1st or 2nd time mover from practice who has some commercial understanding or someone who has qualified in industry and lookingto develop their European/group reporting exposure.Only those applicants who have legal right to work in the UK and possess a suitable amount of UK based finance experience will be considered, candidates already registered will be considered automatically.
