Job Description

Job Title: Accounts AssistantLocation: Bolton, LancashireSalary: £25,000 - £27,000 + BenefitsWe are working well-established business based in Bolton who are looking for a Finance professional to join their team.This is a brilliant opportunity to join a business with excellent working culture and opportunities. This role will report to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible managing the purchase ledger and sales ledger function within the business and workhand in hand with the accounts team.Your main roles and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the coding of Purchase Invoices
  • Authorising invoices correctly and process these onto Xero
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Resolving any issues/queries
  • Update Xero for any supplier payments
  • Raise and input payments onto the bank ready for approval
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Raising of rental & service charge invoices
  • Chasing payments from clients
  • Monitoring the finance mailbox and resolving queries via e-mail and phone
  • Manage credit card and expenses process
  • Assisting the team with accounting or admin tasks as needed
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous accounts experience

  • Problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel and Word
