Job Description

Our client is a market leading supplier of machinery to the plastics manufacturing and recycling sectors and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position Field Service Engineer (Supervisor).The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of automated plant and machinery throughout the UK. We are seeking electrical bias engineer with previous supervisory experience.The Role:Reporting to service manager the successful candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of a range of plant including, conveyor systems, dryers, blenders, granulators, chillers and much more.Your duties will include but is not limited to the following;

  • Electrical installation, commissioning service and repair of machinery including; mixing and blending equipment, conveyors, granulators, metal detectors, silos, chillers and cooling plant.
  • Single & 3- phase electrical fault find and repair activities
  • Motors, inverters, contactors sensors, relays
  • Controls & plcs fault find and repair
  • Supervise a small team of engineers and contractors on site
Candidates:You will be a qualified electrician ideally with a manufacturing maintenance background and applicants with previous machine installation and commissioning experience are preferred.You will have a recognised electrical engineering qualification e.g. NVQ 3 , HNC, 18th edition and you will have excellent electrical fault find and repair skills.Applicants with electrical maintenance experience in heavy industry or plastics manufacturing sectors will have advantage but all applicants will be considered.Good plc fault find and repair skills is an advantage but not essential.Must have previous supervisory experience.Hours of Work:Mon to Fri + OTFrequent travel throughout the UK will require overnight staysBenefits:
