Job Description

Get up to £1,600 a month for accommodation if you do not live within 30 miles from Bolton. Full apprenticeship required - this role is eligible to UK nationals and citizens only.The UKs trusted Ministry of Defence partner, our client, are looking for an Electrical Test Operator to be an asset of the business in Bolton to test duties, complete record-keeping and comply with the manufacturing process.The Electrical Test Operators responsibilities include following product certification procedures, defining workmanship standards, and allocating budgets and timescales.What were looking for:

  • Completion of formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21/ONC.
  • Standard further education certificate to HNC or equivalent Certification.
  • Significant electrical test experience required
  • Manual handling /ESD training: Lifting & Slinging training (Including overhead cranes).
  • Excellent planning, organisational and adaptable skills.
  • No colour blindness
What youll get to do as an Electrical Test Operator:The chosen candidate will have various responsibilities, including ensuring that the product is certified according to the Product Certification procedure and maintaining its certification and approval through regular audits. They should have diverse skillsthat can be applied to different tasks. The candidate will be responsible for performing the necessary setup procedures required for testing, including being aware of the need for regular recalibration of testing equipment. They should also follow instructionsfor testing electronic equipment and utilise designated testing equipment. Basic troubleshooting on electronic devices is also expected from the selected candidate. They should ensure that test records are kept, and faults are reported for rectification whilemaintaining the highest workmanship standards and product quality. Additionally, they must ensure that manufacturing test times are met and abide by all relevant procedures related to the manufacturing process.
