Job Description

Harvey McQueen are pleased to be recruiting for a full time permanent eCommerce Trading Executive based in Bolton, for a fast-growing multi-million-pound e-commerce brand, with an excellent reputation a strong new product development pipeline and a worldclass ecommerce team who understand how to trade on Amazon.We are also in the process of launching an exciting new premium brand, which will be driven by sales via a proprietary website (currently under construction) and creative digital marketing activities.Overview and Summery With the responsibility for revenue and profit delivery, the eCommerce Trading Executive will be required to take on several tasks and responsibilities that relate to the commercial trading process. The Company has developed market winning strategies, particularlyon the Amazon marketplace, which is where a large percentage of the revenue comes from. The person will undergo a detailed training program that will teach them world class techniques for launching and trading on Amazon.The eCommerce Trading Executive will be responsible for driving the bottom line and manage our significant PPC budget, making pricing decisions and shaping and driving through our trading plans. This will all be done with supervision and support from theChief Operating Officer and Managing Director.The opportunity for this individual is to play a key role in the sales and marketing team, with the headroom for fast-track progression and a future leadership role for the successful candidate.Salary and Benefits

  • £23k to £27k salary is negotiable for the right person
  • Monday to Friday

Responsible for
  • Profitability & revenue delivery - key KPI = Profit after Advertising Cost
  • Overseeing online sales across multiple marketplaces and directly through our own website
  • Amazon Rankings & Trading activities
  • Promotion activity and budgets
  • Pricing analysis and decisions
  • Commercial Analysis - analysing sales & profits data to make better decisions and develop trading and marketing strategies
  • Commercial Product Launches
  • eBay commercial management
  • B2B & retail commercial support
Tasks
  • Market & Competitor analysis with proposed response & identify opportunities for the business
  • Rankings monitoring and analysis
  • Pricing / margin analysis by SKU and proposals. Testing price elasticity and its effect on volume, revenue and gross profit
  • Daily PPC management including spend and effectiveness reporting
  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting
  • Planning and executing promotions
  • Monthly commercial plans and follow-up actions
  • Market research
  • NPD & Product launch commercials
  • Commercial actions for launches
  • Social media advertising campaigns - driving and converting traffic
  • Keyword analysis and strategy and content execution (SEO)
  • Customer acquisition campaigns for website and marketplace
  • Direct customer contact, management and sales
  • Other commercial support & projects across the business
  • Working closely with Supply Chain Team to ensure stocks are healthy
The personThe ideal person will be a smart, highly numerate individual who has commercial experience, ideally with some eCommerce experience and some responsibility for profit delivery. Experience trading on Amazon would be a huge plus. We are also open to meetingtalented people from other sectors who are looking to move into the world of eCommerce.They will be a strategic and tactical thinker, able to take in information, analyse it and make strategic and tactical decisions that help to beat the competition and achieve both market share and profit goals. Knowledge of Excel would be ideal and digitalmarketing campaign experience also welcomed.Most importantly they will be hard-working, ambitious, target-driven and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that our commercial goals are achieved, but at the same time will be personable and be able to work in synergy with the rest of the team to drivebusiness growth together.In a business that has been growing at over 30% year on year and with exciting future growth plans, the opportunity to quickly grow into a more senior role is available.
