Contracts Manager - Passive Fire ProtectionJob Title: Contracts Manager - Passive Fire ProtectionIndustry Sector: Fire Curtains, Domestic Fire Curtains, Smoke Curtain, Fire Control, Smoke Control, Fire Doors, Fire Prevention, Domestic, Homeowners, Private Homeowners, Developers, Architects, Main ContractorsLocation: North West OfficeArea to be covered: NationalRemuneration: £40,000 - £45,000 Benefits: Company Vehicle/Allowance & Full Benefits Package The role of the Contract Managers - Passive Fire Protection will involve:

  • Contracts Manager position overseeing various passive fire protection projects for the healthcare, education, commercial and industrial sectors
  • Planning projects and ensuring they are programmed to a high level of detail
  • Ensuring procurement and reconciliation of materials is carried out to deliver best value and to prevent delays
  • Ensure site management team are briefed properly to fulfil the project to the highest standard
  • Attending tender handover meetings and deliver pre-start meetings to the site team
  • Producing a project plan and forecast
  • Ensuring weekly reviews of progress, budget, resources and forward planning are carried out
  • Chairing and attending internal and external meetings
  • Producing relevant RAMS and H&S documents, ensuring that these are adhered to
  • Ensure timely management of both temporary and permanent staff to meet the requirements of each project
The ideal applicant will be a Contracts Manager - Passive Fire Protection industry with:
  • Must have Contracts Manager experience within the passive fire protection market sector
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
  • Must possess sound knowledge of FIRAS, Building Regulations, CDM, COSHH, and H&S
  • Must be a great team player
  • Must be a hard worker thats ready to get stuck in
  • Full UK driving license
  • High levels of organisation
  • Confident individual that can deal with any problems that occur on site
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Wants to take charge and be in control
