Job Description

Client Manager opportunity within a leading Northwest Chartered Accountancy & Advisory Practice offering the opportunity to provide Accounts and Business Advisory solutions to a portfolio of SME and Mid-market clients.THE COMPANYA modern and progressive Chartered Accountancy & Advisory Practice renowned for providing SME and Entrepreneur-led businesses with bespoke Advisory and Outsourced Financial Management solutions. With several offices across the Northwest region the firm operatesteams across Audit, Tax, Accounts / Business Advisory, Restructuring and M&A / Corporate Finance. Continued growth in clients and high demand for the firms added value Advisory services are fuelling significant expansion within the practice.THE OPPORTUNITYA new Client Manager opportunity has arisen within the firm which offers responsibility for managing and developing a team of Accountants / Advisors and leading the delivery of solutions to a portfolio of SME clients.As a Client Manager your role will involve:

  • Managing a portfolio of growing Owner-Managed and SME clients (c.£100k - £10m t/o), working closely with business owners and meeting regularly to discuss successes and ongoing challenges
  • Managing a team of Client Accountants and overseeing delivery of Accounts / Advisory solutions to all clients within your portfolio
  • Preparing Management Accounts, Business Analysis reports and Cashflow Forecasts for clients
  • Handling staff appraisals and reviews, managing budgets and delivering growth in client work and revenue
  • Reviewing Annual Accounts prepared by team members and leading regular meetings with clients

THE PERSONYou will be an Accountancy professional able to demonstrate the following:
  • ACA / ACCA Qualified (or QBE)
  • Background within Accountancy Practice (c.5 years minimum), with particular focus on advising SME and Owner-Managed businesses
  • Experience of Management Accounts, Cashflow Forecasts and Year-End Accounts / Compliance work
  • Experienced in the use of Xero and other Cloud Accounting systems
  • Ambition and career drive to progress within a versatile growing Accountancy & Advisory Firm.
