Job Description

Claims Handler (Motor)Salary for Claims Handler (Motor): £23,000 to £30,000 per annum DOELocation for Claims Handler (Motor): RemoteContract: PermanentHours for Claims Handler (Motor): 35 hours per weekShift patterns: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pmThe Role

  • Act as point of contact for Policyholders and Brokers
  • Efficiently deal with allocated claims from the outset to the conclusion (all aspects of third-party vehicle damage as well as third-party property damage claims)
  • Conduct investigations by looking into given information.
  • Record dates for the next steps including times frames.
  • Liaise with different departments to establish liability.
  • Speak directly with solicitors, insurers, accident management companies, and third-party witnesses.
  • Identify and refer fraudulent activity and any questionable underwriting.
  • Deliver a consistently outstanding level of service.
  • Always adhere to company and regulatory policies and guidelines

Role Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Great negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills, and the ability to prioritise.
  • Ideally experience in motor claims insurance.
  • Have a good understanding of liability and reserving.
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE passes at Grace C or above including English and Maths.
  • Strong customer service and computer skills.
