The trust providesinpatient and community mental health services across Manchester with a wide range of specialised mental health services, having been branded as holding an "outstanding" substance misuse service.ABOUT THE SERVICEFor this role, the service is happy to offer remote working and potential for part-time candidates.Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) offers a wide range of specialised mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the northwest of England, and beyond, as well as inpatient and community-based mental healthcare for residents of Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford, Trafford, and Wigan. GMMH also provide Health and Justice Services in a number of custodial settings.The secret to being able to deliver high quality patient care is having a skilled and adaptable workforce. To maintain the NHS standards, we therefore require more adaptable workers to or join our bank.To be successful in applying for this role you will need:To demonstrate high-level communication skills.To utilise highly developed interpersonal skills including specific skills to facilitate effective communication when there are barriers to understanding e.g. sensory or cognitive impairment or in a hostile, antagonistic or highly emotive situation.To establish and maintain robust communication networks with clients, carers, and other health care workers and numerous external agencies.To establish and maintain good working relationships with GPs, GP commissioners and relevant consortia.To promote awareness of the role of CMHT within local service area/team, GP practices and the wider community.Be a full member of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).Effectively manage own caseload accepting referrals from agreed agencies in accordance with agreed operational procedures.Promote and provide expertise and guidance to the wider multi-disciplinary team on a range of social work interventions, which acknowledge the social context, human rights and self-determination of the individual.
