Job Description

Acoustic ConsultantLocation: Bolton, Greater ManchesterSalary: £26,000 - £35,000Our client is a well-known multi-disciplinary Environmental & Engineering Consultancy who is seeking to hire an established Acoustic Consultant to join their rapidly growing team in the Manchester office! This is a rare opportunity where you will have theopportunity to work in a variety of sectors including Infrastructure, renewables, mining, mixed-use schemes, residential, commercial, education and many more. Due to the nature of the company, they provide a range of acoustical services including building& architectural and environmental acoustics; candidates with a background in either can be considered!Candidate requirements:

  • Youll have attained an Honours or Masters in Acoustical Engineering, or another relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience working for a UK consultancy.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.
  • Membership of the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) is favourable.
Daily duties will include:
  • Undertake acoustic surveys.
  • Provide acoustic design advice.
  • Technical report writing.
  • Mentoring of Junior Consultants.
  • Assist in business development duties.
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities and engineers throughout projects.
  • Prepare fee proposals and project budgets.
