Job Description

We are a well-established renewable energy company look to expand our existing team based on the high volume of work in the renewable sector. The Project Manager is responsible for establishing the schedule and budget of commercial and solar constructionprojects, and ensures that milestones and deliverables are met through the life of the project. The Project Manager will need to be able to deal with multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of development and construction.Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for schedules, assigns, plans, and monitors the work of installation team.
  • Plans and develops work schedules, equipment usage schedules, priority of electrical expenditures, and procedures for equipment and maintenance.
  • Responsible in identifying any shortfalls in working practices and initiating strategies for corrective action.
  • Ensures budgeting guidelines are met, assists in preparation of capital and operations budgets as required.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and assist in preparing material for installation and provide labour estimates
  • Trains or informs employees of new work methods or procedures, changes in safety regulations, work policies, codes and standards, and the like.
  • Enforces safety regulations and adherence to proper codes and standards.
  • Assists in design requirements providing technical advice to the sales team
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Skill in both verbal and written communication.
Required Skills:
  • Preference is a minimum of 2 years solar project management experience
  • Proven history of first-hand of Project Management experience.
  • Hold the relevant qualifications PRINCE2, IOSH
  • Knowledge and confidence to make correct real time business critical decisions.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • The ability to work as part of a team, and at times alone.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Desire to learn new technologies and problem solve
  • I.T and technically competent
Salary commensurate with experience
