Job Description

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOUWestray Recruitment Group are seeking to hire an experienced Press Operator to join their client based in Gateshead. The successful candidate will be working for a family ran business who have an ever-growing order book. They are looking for the right personto join their team and offer a great working culture. This is a dayshift only role working a four-day week.THE BUSINESSOur client has established a reputation for quality and service, manufacturing a vast range of machined, fabricated, welded, pressed, painted and laser cut components to our customers specification. Our ever-growing client base including industries suchas Sub-sea, Oil Gas and Exploration, Rail, Marine, Fastenings, Furniture, Defence and Aerospace.THE ROLE

  • Working as part of a team to produce sheet metal products for a variety of industry sectors.
  • Setting and operating mechanical and hydraulic power press machines.
  • As a subcontractor there are a large variety of materials and components which requires setting and running to be efficient as possible, in a fast-paced environment.
  • In process inspection in line with quality control.
THE PERSON
  • You must have experience as a Press setter / operator.
  • The ability to operate a Fly Press is highly advantageous.
  • Able to read and work from engineering drawings
  • Ability to use measuring equipment, Verniers and height gauges etc.
  • The salary for the position is depending on experience.
THE PACKAGE The role offers a four-day week. Monday to Thursday 7:0017:15.
