Specialty Doctor in Acute MedicineWe are seeking Specialty Doctors with drive, commitment and enthusiasm that will support consistent focus to high performance and quality of care. Based at Royal Blackburn Hospital, the post-holder will be a key senior member of the acute medicine team with a clear role in ensuring comprehensive care for their inpatients and providing acute assessment on presentation.ELHT is celebrating being selected as one of four Trusts nationwide to be named as a development site for the Royal College of Physicians Future Hospitals programme. As a Specialty Doctor joining the team you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the Acute Medical Unit, which comprises of Ambulatory Care, Acute Assessment and Short Stay Wards. The service is strongly supported and resourced by the Trust, and these appointments represent the starting point of an on-going programme of expansion within Acute Medicine, as we plan to recruit more acute physicians in the next twelve months.We do not just look at you for who you are now; we look at you for who you could be in the future. We are actively involved in education for both undergraduates and postgraduates and contribute to the Health Education North West training programme.
