Senior Quality Engineer required to step into a quality manager role. Working for a growing manufacturing company based in Blackburn.Client DetailsOur client is a well established, growing SME manufacturing company based in Blackburn.DescriptionThrough effective management of a team of quality personnel you will be responsible for the management of Product Evaluation, Accreditation, Product Specification, Quality Control and AssuranceMaintain & promote safe working practices and environment to achieve a "Safety First" culture* Develop the Quality Management System to class leading levels* Develop and implement world class quality best practices, reinforcing LEAN manufacturing principles at all levels.* Implement best practice processes and procedures for MRB, RCCA, process capability, supplier quality, inspection.* Maintain and monitor product quality within ensuring ISO 9001 standards are achieved.* Management and communication of all activities associated with Product accreditation and regulation* Management of product and customer specifications; (Monthly review of Quality Assurance data from Internal and External suppliers); day to day contact with customer quality department.* Ensure the customer is supported as priority with any issues pertaining to quality.* Organize and lead audits in partnership with the E,H&S team* Undertake product bench marking* Act, support and promote Group Quality strategy in terms of Integrity* Supervise all subordinate staff covering motivation, morale and performance.* Maintain the budgeted staffing levels by recruiting personnel within the current company recruitment procedure.* Daily start of shift meeting occurs at the SQCPD boardsProfileProven knowledge of Quality Assurances, procedures and specificNational quality accreditationsPrevious experience of working in a fast-paced global matrix organisationDemonstrable experience in a medium to large fast-moving engineering / manufacturing company which will include experience in a first line management or supervisory position.Evidence of sound mechanical aptitudeProven track record in Lean Manufacturing and has demonstrated efficiency and cost improvements in a quality focused set-upLean Six Sigma Green Belt CertifiedExperience of managing and implementing changeStrong quality management background in industrial manufacturingJob Offer£40,000 to £50,000 plus bonus and benefits
