Job Description

Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Press EngineerLocation: SamlesburySalary: £50k DOEThe Manufacturing Engineering Support Team:The primary role is to provide Engineering support to produce hot form components. The components are predominantly manufactured from Titanium and Aluminium alloys, ranging from simple single sheet forms to complex aircraft structuresThe role requires a good understanding of materials science, in particular Titanium and Aluminium alloys along with knowledge of product manufacture on hot form presses and the associated temperature and process control techniques required to achieve productintegrity.What youll be doing as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Press Engineer:

  • Provide engineering support, build line support, and process governance for the full range of products manufactured in the hot form business.
  • Perform tooling /component thermal calibrations and create reports in Excel.
  • Support design, manufacturing and planning reviews, process specification reviews
  • Provide engineering support for super cleaning and chemical etching of Titanium and Aluminium components
Your skills and experiences as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Press Engineer:
  • Have a HND (Manufacturing Engineering) qualifications up to degree level/ and/or equivalent
  • Have relevant domain knowledge Titanium and Aluminium alloy materials science
  • Working in the required discipline (Manufacturing Engineering - Hot form component production, hydraulic and pressure systems
  • Understanding of Instrumentation and critical temperature control and calibration techniques
  • Knowledge of Non-Destructive Inspection techniques including Xray and Cscan
