Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Management Accountant who has extensive experience with both commercial and financial reporting and can demonstrate strong business acumen and commercial influence.This is a newly created position within a large manufacturing/distribution business who are one of Lancashires success stories. They are based on the outskirts of Blackburn, they have gone from strength to strength over the last 10 years and operate onboth a National and European basis.Duties as a Senior Management Accountant will include:

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts across multiple sites including full commentary ready for Board level review.
  • Establish departmental budgetary controls, developing better internal expenditure and overhead management at site level.
  • Develop the variance analysis and KPI reporting, to reflect departmental performance, margin analysis as well as a deeper understanding about product mix and customer trends.
  • Monitor the procurement across the business working closely with all departments.
  • Review the debtor ledger and payment schedule, developing tighter controls around customer payments across all revenue channels.
  • Produce reports around intercompany stock reconciliations and movements and manage the reports about stock levels.
  • Montior accruals and prepayments and provide accuracy around the reporting of revenue and payments.
