Job Description

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Retail Outlet Manager to join the team at our Outlet in Blackburn. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working 40 hours per week. You will need to be flexible across all 7 trading days and in return will receive a competitive salary plus benefits including:- An extensive introduction to the Graham & Brown brand on joining- 28 days holiday entitlement- Generous staff discount- Life Assurance- Pension- Uniform- Birthday Day off- Bonus SchemeAs our Retail Outlet Manager, you will maximise the sales and profitability of the outlet by demonstrating a keen commercial awareness and offering a first-class customer experience.Key responsibilities and accountabilities of our Retail Outlet Manager include:- Leading and inspiring the team to represent the Graham & Brown brand- Training, coaching and developing the team to deliver their best for our customers- Delivering a sales performance in line with the agreed budgets- Ensuring that all customers receive an industry-leading customer service experience during all aspects of their contact- Ensuring that all products are displayed to their maximum potential and that stock is maintained to an agreed level within the outlet- Playing an active part in selecting products for sale within the outlet through customer feedback- Ensuring that all products are priced clearly and correctly, following both company and trading standards guidelines- Ensuring that the outlet is staffed appropriately at all times and to assist with both recruitment and training for all members of the outlet team- Ensuring that all health and safety guidelines are followed within the outlet- Protecting company assets by ensuring that all security guidelines are followed- Ensuring that outlet takings are balanced on a daily basis and that any shortfalls are communicated and fully investigated using company guidelines- Ensuring that all discounts are applied correctly through the till system- Playing an active part in negotiating and arranging advertising and local area marketing activities- Providing accurate sales and stock information to line management and the Accounts department- Monitoring and maintaining operational costs in line with agreed budgetsWhat we are looking for in our ideal Retail Outlet Manager:- Retail and general business awareness, including budgeting and understanding P&L accounts- Cash handling experience- Experience of team management of a similar supervisory role- Customer service experience and a vision of what makes excellent customer service- Computer literacy to include Microsoft Word and Excel- Good knowledge of the local area- A confident, approachable, people personGraham & Brown has had design and colour at the heart of our business for over 75 years.
