Job Description

VAC: 462 Assistant Recycling Site ManagerBased: Blackburn LancsSalary £26,000- £30,000 basic dependant on experienceMy client is one of the UKs fastest growing recyclers, due to expansion they are now seeking an experienced Assistant Site / Production Manager to join their rapidly growing team in Blackburn.The role and Responsibilities of the Recycling Site Manager Reports: Circa 20 staff in total.

  • Reporting to theSite Manager you will be responsible for the full recycling process site.
  • Manage Labour allocation within budgets set.
  • Cost centre control to management report and KPI’s.
  • Quality control of sale commodities, correctly segregated materials.
  • Organisation and booking of deliveries in and out.
  • Complete daily record sheets, forklift, baling machine etc.
  • Oversee full process and ensure the systems & processes are as efficient as possible.
  • The Recycling Manager will be a hands-on Manager who will lead from the front and have strong presence on the shop floor.
  • Mentoring and training of all operational staff to ensure each member of operational staff reaches their potential.
Experience and Knowledge
  • An experienced Site Manager with direct working experience within a recycling / production / manufacturing process.
  • CIWM Qualification preferred. You may have a Level 3 qualification in supervisory management or equivalent.
  • Ensuring H&S is always adhered to.
  • You must be a strong confident man-manger that can motivate and drive your team to achieve production targets.
  • Forklift Licence is advantageous.
