Job Description

Job Title: Recycling Floor ManagerLocation: BlackburnSalary: £30,000Are you an experienced and "hands on" Recycling Floor Manager looking for a new challengeLHR are proud to be partnered with a large scale, multi-site niche business in Blackburn. Our client works with businesses and local authorities to recycle and repurpose materials, and they are now looking to recruit an experienced Recycling Floor Manager to work at their Blackburn facilityThis is an exciting opportunity to work for rapidly expanding business, and this role will be pivotal to fulfilling their growth potential.Reporting to the Site Manager, the Recycling Floor Manager will have overall responsibility for the Shop Floor environment.Key Responsibilities of the Recycling Floor Manager:

  • H&S of the shop floor environment
  • Timely unloading and loading of inbound and outbound loads
  • Accuracy of stock count
  • Quality of processed materials and products
  • Implementation of the Continuous Improvement Plan on the Floor
  • Staff Management and Discipline
  • Training of Staff
  • Building Maintenance implementation
  • Allocation of labour to ensure Cutting and Baling Operations are always fully staffed
  • 1st line for staff management and discipline issues
    • Current core working hours for this role are 7am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required as required.The Successful Recycling Floor Manager:You will be highly organised with excellent communication skills, able to ensure that the shop floor always runs effectively and efficiently, whilst maintaining H&S.
