We are looking for an experienced painter/plasterer for our client in Blackburn, Lancashire. Our client is a property developer for commercial units within Blackburn, Lancashire and is looking for a responsible skilled painter decorator/plasterer to maintain commercial and business properties:Job duties include for plastering:• Preparing and mixing different types of raw materials to get the plaster ready• Applying the plaster to the surface being worked on (inside walls, ceilings, outside walls)• Carrying out solid plastering as well as applying wet finishes• Fitting internal plasterboard, also referred to as dry lining or wallboard. This task can involve affixing partitions• Installing outer coverings, such as pebble-dash or sand, on outside walls for protection• Using moulds and casts for the creation of ornaments and other types of plaster work• Understanding and managing the quantities of material required for the job• Realising repairs and renovationsJob duties include for painting:• Preparing the surrounding area, including covering fixtures and furniture to prevent messes • Preparing painting surfaces, including removing old paint, filling holes and cracks and washing walls • Choosing the tools to complete the job • Mixing and matching paints and colours to meet the texture and look required for the project • Applying paint, varnishing and other finishes, hanging wallpapers and other decorative products • Cleaning up painting tools and supplies, replacing fixtures and rearranging furniture after completing the project • Collaborating with painters on other larger jobs • Working with other construction professionals such as, carpenters, electricians and plumbers when necessaryHours: 7:30am till 4:30pm Monday to Friday OR Monday to friday 8am till 5pmPay: £32,000 - £35,000 PA Paid hourly This is permanent job with an immediate start for the right applicant.Skills:Painting and decoratingplasteringKeywords:Painting and decoratingplastering
