Job Description

PHP Developer - MySQL, MVC Frameworks (Laravel, Zend, Symfony), Git - Salary up to £40,000 plus benefits including Christmas bonus, share scheme, healthcare scheme, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays plus extra days for years of service.A talented PHP Developer (MySQL, MVC Frameworks (Laravel, Zend, Symfony), Git) is urgently required to join an industry leading ecommerce business based in Blackburn. As the PHP Developer (MySQL, MVC Frameworks (Laravel, Zend, Symfony), Git) you will have a integral role in the team to be responsible for the development, maintenance and support of the groups ecommerce sites across the UK and Europe. You will have the opportunity to push forward with the latest technologies and refactor existing code. Your role will be full of variety with the opportunity to really have an impact from day 1 in a collaborative team environment.They are looking for you to have experience in the following technologies:

  • Strong knowledge of OOPHP
  • Laravel / Zend / Symphony or any other modern PHP framework experience
  • Database experience - MySQL
  • Familiarity with GIT
  • Commercial experience of e-commerce websites
  • Solid understanding of source code
  • Knowledge of web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SASS and LESS.
    • If you have any experience in the below this will be a bonus but isnt essential:
  • Magento 2 experience
  • Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks e.g. React, Angular or Vue.JS
  • Cloud based technologies e.g. Containers, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
  • Experience writing APIs
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience writing tests.
  • Exposure to Magento 1
