Payroll Manager | £30,000 - £40,000 | Haslingden Howarth Morris are partnering with a leading manufacturing group who are embarking on an exciting period of growth following a high-profile MBO. They are now looking for an experienced Standalone Payroll Manager who can shape and drive the payroll function. The role itself will report to the Financial Controller and the right candidate will need to be accurate, organised and adaptable to a fast paced & fast growing environment.Responsibilities* Responsibility for the end-to-end processing of monthly payroll for 400 salaried employees, ensuring that all employees are paid correctly and on time* Responsible for maintaining employee attendance records* Completion of P45 for leavers, end of year processing and reconciliation including payment summaries (P60s/P11Ds)* Submission of monthly pension contributions* Conducting regular checks to ensure any changes are monitored & controlled, and employees are accurately paid and in line with government regulations* Maintaining up to date and comprehensive guidance notes on payroll procedures* Working closely with our payroll software provider regarding system upgrades and developments* Ensuring payroll policies are up to date to reflect changes to Company policy and Employment Law RegulationsSkills and Experience Required* Experience of managing end-to-end in-house payrolls, preferably standalone* Up to date knowledge of current regulations affecting employee benefits, deductions and general payroll processes* Working knowledge of Mitrefinch and Flexipay is desirable but not essential* A proactive approach with experience of identifying & implementing process improvements* Excellent time management and organisational skills, able to work under own initiative and to tight deadlines* Flexibility - to work the necessary hours to meet the cyclical demands of the position* Excellent attention to detail and accuracyPayroll Manager | £30,000 - £40,000 | Haslingden
