Previous experience within the water industry would be an advantage for this roleMain responsibilities include* Responsible for maintenance of water related pumping plant and ancillary equipment that have been installed to check their performance and safety and evaluate whether they meet compliance standards.* You will be responsible for the Installation , removal and maintenance of access platforms, gantries, mechanical apparatus.* This will also include water related pumping plant, pipework and associated control equipment.* This challenging and varied role offers the successful candidate an excellent opportunity for career development within an expanding and successful business.* The role will require flexible working hours, business travel and participation in a standby rotaKey skills* You will have experience of working within the water industry* Ideally be qualified with Confined space certification and ideally have City and Guilds Mechanical Installation or Maintenance qualification or completed a mechanical engineering apprenticeship and have at least 2 years experience, ideally in the water orassociated industries.* The ideal candidate shall have experience of Screens and Screens Handling Equipment, such as screw compactors and conveyors, Inlet Screens, Network & CSO Screens.* The candidate will be trustworthy and be able to work on your own initiative and have the ability to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate good time management to comply with deadlines.* A full driving licence is required for this role.Benefits* A great career with a successful business* Contributory pension* Competitive salaryIf you are interested in the above Mechanical Fitter vacancy, then click on the apply now button.Due to the high volume of applications we receive we are not always able to reply to all applications.
