Job Description

Intervention Teaching Assistant - BlackburnAre you an experienced Intervention Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in BlackburnTradewind are working with a local Primary School in Blackburn who require a Level 3 or Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a full-time role from January 2022 until July 2022. This role is based in their KS2 classes and is to support a small group of childreneach morning and afternoons covering interventions. The pay is from £10 - 12.15 per hour. Hours are from 8:30-3:30pm each day with a 30 minute lunch break.This Primary school provides a caring and nurturing learning environment where all children feel happy and safe. The school strives for the achievement of all the children in school regardless of background or need and promote a lifelong love for learning.This Primary school is looking for a passionate intervention teaching assistant to work within KS2 providing support within class as well as covering booster and catch-up interventions.Tradewind are renowned for offering top rates of pay, more CPD than any other agency, great referral bonus and termly networking & social events.The role:

  • Assisting the teacher in delivering work with the children in the class
  • Developing curricular knowledge as required by the school
  • Undertaking observations of pupils and contributing to pupil records
  • Abiding by and work towards all the policies within the school e.g. behaviour management, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities
Essential requirements:
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant
  • Experience working with students in KS2
  • All work with Tradewind requires a DBS on the update service and collection of at least two verified references
  • An up-to-date CV with a 10-year career history
  • Legal Right to Work in the UK
