Job Description

My customer seeks a HR Director to lead their People function for a business (Europe and APAC) that is going through a period of change and growth.Client DetailsI have been retained to exclusively partner with a key customer. DescriptionMy customer is an established business that has been through a progressive journey. Now they are primed for another chapter, therefore there is a need to drive the key initiatives on the People roadmap.Reporting into the global HR Director and working with the regional President and ELT, for the Europe and APAC regions, you will develop a value-add people strategy and lead a team to deliver it in a commercial, yet people-centric way - all of which willcontinue to make this business a place that you really love to work!Given where my client is in their journey, they seek someone with an astute toolkit and passion for all things

Key focuses for the People function in the near to mid future;
  • Developing a continued strategic focus on attracting and retaining the best talent in the market, particularly for a niche and technical arena of engineering
  • Assessing and creating a plan to ensure that the people target operating model is sufficient for the goal of having the right people in the right roles to growing revenues and ensure operational excellence
  • Support in developing a long-term management development programme to develop the future leaders of the business
  • Enhance and develop the grassroots development programme (at both apprenticeship and graduate level)
  • Enhancing the diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and proposition to enhance the value of people bringing their whole selves to the workplace, and enhance the diversity of those choosing a career in engineering
  • Post-acquisition, support the two businesses in cultural integration and harmonisation
  • Continue to manage, develop and coach a commercial and people-centric People team - ultimately developing great careers from within your own team to deliver excellence to their internal customer groups
This role will be based in Blackburn, Lancashire, with a responsibility of an international customer group in Europe, ME and APAC.This business boasts an excellent flexible and hybrid working style, which would mean real opportunities to work from home, and travel to the offices environments (internationally) as needed.This is a strategic role that will also require you to roll your sleeves up when needed!ProfileTo be considered for this HR Director role, you will have proven experience in a HR leadership role that has supported businesses in achieving their strategic goals; ideally within a commercially driven and entrepreneurial environment.You will have proven experience in partnering with manufacturing, engineering and commercial functions - particularly with a focus on attracting and developing talent, organisational design, and change management.You will possess an astute HR toolkit that supports a business to succeed financially and culturally. You will also have a true interest, passion and proven experience of landing projects across the entire HR spectrum.You will have experience working with an American-owned, matrix and international organisation.You will also be;

Experience required;
  • Experience of working in a Manufacturing / Engineering / FMCG business
  • Experience of partnering with an international business unit / customer group (within mainland Europe, Middle East, Asia, or Pacific)
  • Experience of leading a People / HR team
  • Experience of driving strategic Talent, OD and Engagement initiatives, which show clear ROI
Job OfferThis role will also pay £80,000 to £100,000 (dependent on experience), car allowance, performance related bonus and a suite of benefits.
