Job Description

General Manager - Production Are you ready to be at the forefront of innovation and high growthJoin us in our journey of exceptional expansion, backed by significant investment!Were looking for an outstanding General Manager to own Production and spearhead our team from our vibrant Head Office in Blackburn. This is more than a job; its a chance to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing company.Your mission as a General Manager - Production:

  • Be the driving force behind efficient production, upholding the highest standards in Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance while meeting rigorous quality benchmarks.
  • Catalyse continuous improvement, enhancing processes, elevating product quality, and slashing waste and scrap.
  • Embed lean business practices into daily routines, utilising tools like 5S and Total Productive Maintenance to optimise effectiveness.
  • Vigilantly manage product standards, ensuring swift corrective actions for non-conformity.
  • Uphold stringent process and procedure adherence, conducting meticulous product quality checks.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, nurturing a harmonious and spirited team dynamic across functions.
  • Oversee key performance indicators, championing best practices and maintaining budgetary discipline.
Your Profile:
  • A proven track record in a Production Manager role, backed by an HNC/HND in Engineering.
  • A master in lean Six Sigma practices.
  • Experience leading teams in a unionised production setting.
  • Proficient in IT, with strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ideally trained in IOSH Managing Safely, with experience in risk assessments and safe work documentation.
  • A background in production control is a plus.
  • Skilled in change management within a lean manufacturing landscape.
