Seven Social Care are currently recruiting for two Financial Assessors to start a new role in on the Adult Social Care Team in Blackburn.Supporting Adult Social Care, the finance function financially assesses people who have care and support needs to establish how much they need to contribute towards the cost of their care. These appointments can be face to face in a persons home or by telephone,whichever is the most appropriate.This role is office based due to the training requirements but once trained the successful candidate would manage their own appointments and their own time, with flexible working arrangements in place to support a health work/life balanceThis is a full time temporary role for 3 months with the view of extending.Responsibilities To assist in the management of the Transaction Finance Team to maintain high professional standards and a quality Finance Administration Service advising Line Managers on key financial issues affecting the team.Carry out financial assessments for Adult Social Care Clients to assess their ability to pay towards the cost of their care, and to ensure their benefit entitlements are maximised.Promote the teams activities and engage Social Services teams through regular cross cutting meetings.Arrange and conduct home visits in order to access and calculate financial assessments for residential and non-residential clients in an accurate and timely manner. Ensuring client benefits are maximised through the assessment, by completing the relevantchecks and application formsApplicant Requirements: Experience: Up to date DWP benefits experience and be able to support vulnerable people with claiming any entitlements.
