Factory ManagerTo deliver the operational strategy to improve quality-based production, whilst monitoring individual, team and machine Performance.To deliver good quality products on time and in full meeting customer demands and stakeholder costs.Informing The Head of Operations of any issues which may affect the above.To develop and deliver a lean manufacturing strategy to ensure continuous improvement across a balanced scorecard.To maintain action plans for continuous improvements.Ensuring GMP standards are communicated and upheld across all sites.To deputise for The Head of Operations when required.Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.Ensure delivery of BRC audit accreditation.Communicate well all information that is required.To chair a daily performance review.To gather data and present KPIs for a weekly operational review.Must deliver the daily production planEnsure that new products are handed over to the factory with all the correct information required to launch successfully.Attend management meetings.Health& SafetyIn line with the company Health & Safety Policy you will be expected to:Take reasonable care of your own health, safety and welfare and that of other people who may be affected by your actions or omissions.To co-operate with the company and with employees in order to comply with health and safety law and our internal health and safety Policies and Procedures.Not to misuse or interfere with, intentionally or recklessly, anything provided in the interests of safety.Undertake all tasks covered under your role and responsibilities as covered in the Health and Safety Policy.Responsible for the drawing up of safe systems of work and the application of established health and safety procedures.They must ensure that regular risk assessments of their areas of responsibility are carried out, exercise such supervision and communicate such information as is necessary to ensure the health and safety of their staff, contractors and visitors.Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety.Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace.Correct utilisation of appropriate personal protective equipment.GeneralAny other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.Have the ability to listen to employee concerns and suggestions and absorb them, and action as required.Eligibility to work in the UK on a permanent basisMust be fluent in EnglishPolite, courteous well presented.KPI managementAbility to supervise staff, organize tasksA flexible, enthusiastic, and committed attitudeGood communication skillsThe skills knowledge and ability to carry out all tasks allocated5 years experience in food or manufacturingAn understanding of baking / extruders / retort / sterilization processesComputer literateHave shown proficiency in lean manufacturing principlesLevel 2 in food safety (CIEH or similar)IOSH Required skills
