Job Description

Database Developer / Engineer (SQL, Data Services, IBM Data systems) - nr BlackburnA leading eCommerce retail-based organisation, currently investing heavily in a major digital and Agile transformation is currently seeking Database Developer / Engineer experienced with SQL Server and IBM data servicesWorking across key data systems of the business, you will be responsible for developing first-class, scalable and secure data systems, leading the way in design and helping to mentor more junior Data members. This will also involve liaising with key organisational stakeholders and creating data systems to a company with business requirementsThe successful Database Developer/ engineer will have:

  • Excellent knowledge of physical and dimensional data modelling
  • You will have excellent knowledge of SQL and Data Services
  • ideally have worked with data areas such as SAS, SAP Business Objects, MS SQL Server (with SSIS / SSRS)
  • and BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI. You should have also delivered and
  • designed Data Warehouse solutions.
  • knowledge of working with IBM databases and development, including DB2 BLU and SAP data Services (BODS),
